Acceptance of terms

These terms and conditions govern all supply of goods and services ("products") by NZ Plumbing Supplies ("NZ Plumbing Supplies", "we", "us") to you, the purchaser of goods and services from us, including your use of the website at www.nzplumbingsupplies.co.nz ("the website"). They are effective from 27th August 2026 and will replace all earlier NZ Plumbing Supplies terms of trade and any conditions contained in any document used by you and purporting to have contractual effect.

We reserve the right to change these terms of trade by notice to you. Notice may be given by posting the revised terms and conditions on our website.

To make a purchase from our online shop you must be 18 years of age or over.

Purchases from our online shop can be made by persons who are acquiring goods or services for their own use or consumption. If you are purchasing on behalf of another entity such as a company you warrant you have the authorisation to agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of the entity.

Availability and supply

All orders are subject to the availability of those products or services. If for any reason a Product is not available, we will endeavour to notify the non-availability on our online shop.

We deliver to street addresses in New Zealand and Australia. Prices for goods and services stated on our website are exclusive of any applicable delivery charges. We will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that orders for tangible goods will be dispatched promptly after an order has been placed.

Pricing

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and are inclusive of any Goods and Services Tax ("GST") unless stated to be otherwise but are exclusive of delivery charges. All prices are correct when published. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time.

For orders paid at the time of purchase, a confirmation of your order and payment will be emailed to you at the email address you supply. Approved trade or account customers paying on invoice will be invoiced separately, with payment due on the 20th of the month following the invoice date. Trade accounts are available on application — please contact us to discuss eligibility and set one up. You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are correct.

Payment options

We accept the following credit and debit cards, processed securely through Stripe: Visa, Mastercard and American Express

We also accept payment from your PayPal account if you have one.

Credit Card Security

All credit and debit card payments made on our website are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment platform used by millions of businesses worldwide. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers — this information is handled directly and securely by Stripe. Stripe's security practices and terms are available at stripe.com/nz/legal.

If you choose to pay via PayPal, that transaction is processed through your PayPal account and is subject to PayPal's own terms and conditions, available at paypal.com/nz/legalhub.

Shipping and delivery

Most orders are shipped for a flat rate of $15 to North Island addresses and $18 to South Island addresses (including rural and residential addresses).

A small number of items — including bulky items such as hot water cylinders etc — require a custom shipping quote rather than the flat rate, as cost depends on the item and destination. Where this applies, it will be noted on the product page, or we will contact you to confirm the shipping cost before your order is dispatched.

Shipping to Waiheke Island, the Chatham Islands, Great Barrier Island and Stewart Island also requires a custom quote in all cases. Please contact us before ordering if you are shipping to one of these locations, so we can confirm the available shipping options, cost and timeframe.

Total shipping costs (based on North or South Island destination, where the flat rate applies) will be calculated and shown in your order summary once a valid shipping address has been entered.

You should receive your order within 7 days of purchase. Some products are custom made or manufactured to order, so lead times may vary — this will be noted on the relevant product page where it applies. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday, and tracking details will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched. In the unlikely event your order cannot be dispatched within this timeframe, we will contact you to let you know.

Returns

If you change your mind about a standard (non-custom-made) product, you may return it within 15 calendar days of purchase for a refund, subject to the conditions below.

• The product must be returned in the same condition you received it, undamaged and unused.
• A 15% restocking fee applies to all returned products.
• Return freight (getting the product back to us) is at your cost.
• The original freight charge you paid to receive the item is non-refundable.
• Custom-made or specially procured products cannot be returned and are non-refundable.

Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected before a refund is processed. Refunds are made to your original payment method. For credit card payments, it may take 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Returns will not be accepted if the product is damaged (other than a fault covered below), or if more than 15 calendar days have passed since purchase.

If a product is faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy — this is separate from the change-of-mind return process above, and is not subject to the restocking fee or return freight cost.

Liability Limitation

Where you acquire or hold yourself out as acquiring goods or services from us for the purposes of a business, the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 will not apply. The conditions, warranties and guarantees set out in the Sale of Goods Act 1908 or otherwise implied by statute or common law will not apply and are excluded from these terms of trade.

We will always endeavour to have complete and accurate information on our website but to the greatest extent permissible by law we assume no responsibility for the completeness and current accuracy of the information provided on our website.

To the greatest extent permissible by law, we exclude all liability we may have to you for any claim except where we have acted in bad faith. This exclusion also applies for the benefit of every officer, employee, contractor, agent of us and anyone else we use to perform our duties or provide services under any agreement you have with us. None of the persons specified above is liable or has to pay you for anything else in connection with or resulting from anything any of us does or does not do, or delays in doing, whether or not it is contemplated or authorised by any agreement you have with us. This exclusion applies whatever you are claiming for and in whatever way liability might arise. This exclusion does not limit any inalienable rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Our maximum liability to you (if any) shall be limited to the value of any faulty products or services supplied by us and we, our employees, contractors and agents, will not be liable to you for loss or damage of any kind however that loss or damage is caused or arises.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, these terms and conditions form the complete agreement between us, and continue to apply regardless of where you are located when goods or services are provided, or where you reside.

Your use of our website, our supply of products or services to you, and any dispute arising from these terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The Courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any claims or disputes relating to these terms, our website, or our products and services.

If you (or anyone acting on your behalf, or permitted by you to act on your behalf) provide us with incorrect information when purchasing a product or service, and this causes us to incur costs, you agree to reimburse us for those costs — including our legal costs, calculated on a solicitor-client basis (meaning our actual legal costs, not just a standard court-awarded amount).

If you are purchasing on behalf of a business or organisation, you agree to use our website, products and services in accordance with the laws applicable to that business or organisation.

Privacy policy and Confidentiality

We collect personal information from you when you place an order, sign up to our mailing list, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and payment details.

We use this information to:

• Process and deliver your orders
• Respond to enquiries
• Send you marketing communications, if you have opted in

Marketing communications
Unless you opt in to receive marketing messages from us, we will not contact you for marketing purposes. If you have opted in and later wish to stop receiving these communications, you can opt out at any time by contacting us by email or by following the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of our emails. Opting out of marketing messages will not affect messages relating to your order(s), which we will continue to send as needed.

Sharing your information
We share personal information with trusted third parties where necessary to run our business and provide our services, including:

• Stripe and PayPal, to process payments
• Our couriers and freight providers, to deliver your order
• Google Analytics and Google Ads, to understand website usage and improve our marketing
• Mailchimp, to send marketing communications you have opted in to receive

Some of these providers may store or process your information overseas (including in the United States), where privacy laws may differ from those in New Zealand.

We may also disclose your personal information where required by law.

Cookies
Our website uses cookies to enable certain features and to understand how visitors use our site. If you choose not to enable cookies, some features of our website may not be available to you.

Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure, but we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet, and we are not responsible for a breach of security that is beyond our reasonable control.

Your rights
You can request details of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, at any time by contacting us.

General Conditions

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time by notice, which may be in the form of a notice posted on our website at www.nzplumbingsupplies.co.nz.

If we fail to enforce any terms or to exercise our rights under these terms and conditions at any time, we have not waived those rights.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and the parties shall adjust their respective rights and obligations in accordance with the spirit and intent of the parties as shown by these terms and conditions.

Unless any provision in this agreement expressly provides otherwise, these terms and conditions are not intended to confer a benefit on any person or class of person who is not a party to it.

We may deliver notices to you by sending them to an email address that you have notified to us.
